Bond Update
Georgia’s Dealer Bond Is Now $50,000
As of July 1, 2026, Georgia requires used motor vehicle dealers to carry a $50,000 surety bond, up from $35,000. All new applications and renewals must use the updated bond. You don’t pay the full amount; you pay a premium based on your credit and business financials.
